Problem & Hypothesis

Imagine you just got into a minor car accident - a fender bender, if you will. Although you're grateful that it wasn't a worse accident, it's still frustrating because you have an added inconvenience to your already hectic life. Plus, dealing with insurance can be strenuous. We wanted to ease that intimidating process by empowering people to take their own photos of the damage. Our web app would guide you through the right photos to take in order to best back up your claim. Not only would this save you time, but it’d also save the insurance appraisers time by saving them for more complex accidents making them more efficient at their job.

What I Did

I inherited this project from a fellow UX Designer, in which I started with validating the live MVP with people who actually had minor car damage. After seeing how some of the graphics and touch targets led to confused users and inaccurate photos, I redesigned the flow sequence and informative graphics as shown in the final deliverable. Lastly, I worked with the PM to prioritize those improvements into the product roadmap before being assigned a new project.
